Old Screw Top Liquor Bottle D-126 with diamond shape between 18 <>77

My wife and 7 year old son dug up this old dirty bottle in our backyard. It has the above markings on the bottom and several carvings in the glass bottle. A picture of the markings is below. I was wondering if the bottle truly is from 1877. I doubt it has value as the screw part at the top is chipped. Any information about this bottle would be appreciated.

  • Hi and welcome

No this is a mid 20th century machine made bottle.

The diamond insignia is the mark of Diamond Glass Company of Pennsylvania.

The numbers around the diamond are manufacturer marks which mean something only to the company workers who came up with their code. One may indicate date but note that it could represent, for example, the xth year of production.

Lastly, the D-126 is an indication of the Calvert brand or Seagrams company. D is short for distiller.
