Found while beachcombing need help
Hello everyone! First timer here. So a friend of mine who enjoys beachcombing came across this the other day. We are located on the shore of northern Texas just Northeast of Galveston in the Gulf of Mexico. I did not want to jump to any conclussions since there is a Swastika on it, but it looks very much like the German Swastika of the 30's. Doesn't really mach up with Hindu or Buddhist engravings. Any help is truely appreciated. Thanks so much.

The definitive source of manufacturer marks is a book called "Bottle Makers and Their Marks" by Toulouse. Unfortunately, there are no swastika marks listed...
Take a look at
http://www.carlsberggroup.com/Company/heritage/Pages/Labeldesignsdownthroughtheages.aspx
which shows an example of how the swastika was used - before WW2 -
Digger Odell site also has a US example mentioned here
http://www.bottlebooks.com/questions/june2001/june_2001.htm
The oval shape suggests to me a whiskey or spirits bottle but I would not consider that definitive...
Hope this helps.
