H.W. Elson's Bottle works

I found a bottle its about 6 inches tall has stright sides and a belled top. Green glass and has H.W. Elson's in an oval at the top and Ishpeaming Mi at the oval bottom with Bottle works in the middle. On the base is this bottle never sold and a large capitol H at the bottom. Over all very good condition and is made of very heavy glass, thick. Does anyone know aht this would have been for and anything about the company? Thanks.

  • This is a soda bottle - the shape is known to collectors as a "hutch soda" The closure was patented by a man named Hutchinson. The bottle dates to the later 19th century.
