I was wondering if the cork adds to the value. I've seen this one on the internet many places, and I was wondering if there was something that made these more valuable than others. The value seems to be varied

I would say an attractive old cork such as this one does add to the appeal. I am not sure how much it adds to the overall value of a bottle. Perhaps in the case of a bottle which also has an old label or packaging, the cork signals the piece's authenticity and completeness..
