old nailpolish bottle identity help

We recently discovered our house (built in 1955) was built over an old landfill. The archeologist in me couldn't help but start digging!

I among the many things I found this week was an old nail polish bottle. The brush is attached to a glass stopper. there aren't any other markings on the bottle.

    Hi and welcome. That bottle sure seems large for nail polish. I am thinking mucilage, although I cannot say I have seen one in that shape before.
