Need help for a stage prop -- were there glass bottles / decanters for spirits in 16c India

How would spirits be served in the court of a 16century palace in India? The play calls for a bottle of rum (which was extant in 16c india). Thanks for any help, needed ASAP! Mac

    This is a very interesting question - the broader question is whether there was glass in use at all worldwide in the 16th century

    My understanding is that glass was first utilized in the first or second century BC but for the most part vanished until the 17th century re-emergence in Europe.
