Antique bottle found - eastern North Carolina

I am a transportation worker in Eastern North Carolina. Three days ago we dug up a section of highway that leads to an old civil war fort I found a very old looking clear glass cork bottle. It was hand blown for sure. It has many irregularities. It has lots of small air bubbles and a few large air bubbles. On one side it has several ridges in the flat surface. The inside looks like it has dips in it, and it also doesn't stand up straight, meaning it looks like it tilted one way. The height is 6 inches and the length is 3 inches across in the longest place which is over half way up. The bottom is the strangest thing about the bottle, it has a raised # 7 that almost looks smeared on because excess glass sticks out almost 1/4 of an inch on one side of the base. The seam on the neck doesn't quite make it half way up. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

All one can say - without a photo - is that it is later 19th century or early 20th century
