Request for help in identifying bottle
Hi:
I found this bottle washed up on the shore of Monterey Bay in California. I'm not an expert in bottles but tried to research its origin with little success. The only thing I believe I found out is that it appears to be machine made based on the seam. It has distinct markings on the bottom and I'm hoping someone will be able to provide more information based on the marks. The markings include the following: B 5 II X. It is a little over 9 inches tall and is dark green. The bottle appears to have had an interesting life and will have a place of honor on one of my shelves. I'm just hoping someone on this forum can provide a little more history on the maker, purpose, age, etc. Pictures are attached. Thank you very much for your time. Ron

What is most unusual is the rough execution of the markings on the base. Even on much earlier bottles, markings are almost always much more precise.
