I have one with clear glass R-22 on bottom. Where did it originate?

Comments

  • The FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS.... embossing points to a specific period of time but the bottle could have been made at any number of glass manufacturers across the US. Note that the liquor producer (this is a liquor bottle) orders their bottles from a bottle manufacturer like Owens Illinois, etc. See my Federal Law Forbids web page for more information.
  • The R stands for Rectifier (instead of the D for Distillery). These companies blended spirits. There are more codes on the bottle base. There has to be a date code among them....typically to the right of the bottle maker logo (or name).
