would like help in identifying old glass bottle bottom

found on the beaches of Outer Banks NC many years ago. approx 3 by 3.5 inches, eight-sided brown or amber glass, visible bubbles in glass, beveled edges on the bottom, seal or decoration is recessed approx .25 inch, lettering or numbers on the side with the last character looks to be the number 9

    This is definitely an unusual and elaborate bottle base - not sure there is another quite so decorative.

    This is from a German liqueur bottle - the company is JA Gilka of Berlin. They are not uncommon, you should have no trouble finding photos on the web
