historic My son and his friend found a bottle along on old train track near our house. It is clear glass with embossed grapes. On the bottom it says 1776, WINE and the number 4. It has a seam half way up onto the neck. We are trying to determine if it is really old or a reproduction. Can you help? Thanks, Jill

historic Interesting bottle. It's more like 1976 than 1776. The shape is most unusual, so I would say it has some decorative value. Yes, I would agree all the embossing on the bottle suggests it contained wine.
