Hello. Today I found the bottom of a glass bottle. I can read the markings pretty clearly. It was found in a pile of fill dirt that is being excavated on my deceased uncle's side yard. The land was purchased in 1949. The home on the site was built in 1951. I suspect the bottle or glass bottom may be from that era. On the bottom of the container, there is the numeral 4 in the 12:00 position. Below that, dead-center, is the Hazel-Atlas logo that appears to be the original trademarked version from 1923. To the right of the logo at the 3:00 position is a number 3 inside a circle. And below the logo, at the 6:00 position, is the following code in an arch-shape: 0-7347, or possibly O-7347. (could be the numeral 0 or the letter O). The diameter is 2". There are 12 facets on the sides, each sharing a vertical edge with the next, and with the bottom of each facet ending in a semi-circle. It appears to be clear glass with no discernible tint or color. I am hoping to determine its age and what type of vessel it was. Thank you all for any ideas and feedback you have! –– Ron (San Diego, Calif.)
