My mother and father were avid skin and scuba divers and collected bottles from Lake George for about 40 years. They recently moved to a retirement home, and I have been put in charge of their bottle collection. It includes:
· 2 Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound bottles
· 5 antique JSP Joseph S Pederson Teal Medical Malt Tonic Glass Bottle 1860 -1885, 9" tall marked B on the bottom
· 5 antique coke bottles
· 34 antique dark green wine bottles
· 6 Glens Falls beverage bottles
· 7 Ticonderoga beverage bottles
· 1 Fort Ticonderoga beverage bottle
· 1 Bolton Landing beverage bottle
· 4 Fort Edward beverage bottles
· 1 Schenectady beverage bottle
· Numerous apothecary bottles
· 3 glass railroad insulator
· 11 round bottom beverage bottles (Ginger Ale?)
There are also well-preserved Pure U.S.P. (Binghampton, NY) and Gilt Edge Brand (Portland, Maine) Paregoric bottles with labels that were found in a garage in Maine.
