Hi! I found this FABULOUS and large decanter while cleaning out my mother-in-law's home. Most of the vintage items in the house were mid-century - my guess is that this is from the 60's-70's. Any help would be appreciated!
She traveled often and tended to purchase quality items from wherever she was. Most commonly, she traveled to Germany/Italy/France. She was German, so many of her items were originally produced there. I have no idea if this one was, though. There are no clear markings. The stopper has a round hole in the center (like where the blow pipe was) and the bottom has a clear "knock off" circle-shaped ridge.
It's not the most well-balanced piece ever made - it tips a bit to one side because the bottom is not perfectly flat.
