Help with age and value of this amber maggi’s bouillon würfel jar

I found this jar when I was a teenager in the 70’s and would appreciate any information I can get about it (age, value, maker, etc.

It is not hard to find later 19th century Maggi liquid seasoning sauce bottles - they are in fact common thanks to the success of this company. I could not find another example of your jar. Hard to know how rare or valuable it is....possibly it would be of interest to the company itself. https://www.goodnes.com/maggi/about/

I feel like your jar is later 19th century in age. Might it have a ground top? Can you remove the metal lid to see this?

Thanks for the additional photos showing the ground lip. This jar I suppose could be a bit older than I initially reported - the threaded top goes back to Mason's patent of 1858 - how quickly this was implemented in the US and Europe I am not sure.

I still believe contacting the Maggi company is worth a shot - they may have an official or unofficial historian who might help.

Value-wise, you might find some interest among a few bottle collectors but I am not sure this would be in much demand. It is a difficult piece to place a value on.
