Purple Bottle...with no labels...

It's about 9in. in height, with a small purple tinted stopper. It has a small marking on the bottom of the bottle, in the middle, but I can't tell what it is. It looks like it's been warn off, and weathered. No other embossing....

That stopper more than likely did not originally go with that bottle.

This stopper was fitted with a cork sleeve and was most commonly used on the Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce bottles. Your bottle is very late 19th century and was most likely used for some type of medicine or pharmacist's preparation.

I forgot to mention that the purple color is the result of exposure to UV (sunlight) and the presence of manganese in the glass. Collectors refer to this as "sun colored amethyst"

In recent years, some have exposed bottles like this to strong, artificial UV light - bottles turn a deep and distinctive purple color.
