Dug up on beach in Prince Edward Island Canada today

Hi for the first time ever I saw a corner of piece of glass poking up from the sand on a beach in Prince Edward Island - I was delighted to see that it was perfect no cracks or chips, it is an interesting shape - has a seam up two sides and a small round seam round the neck. it is 5.25 " high and the bottom 1.5 " across. It has "CONTENTS 2 FL OZS." on one side. There is a rounded clear area on front as if there was a label. Bottom has a 4 and a maybe a 0 in a diamond? Im just interested in knowing if anyone knows if this is

old or not?

The "D" in diamond mark is Dominion Glass Company. Your bottle is mid 20th century.

My hunch is that it is a flavoring bottle. Hard to say much more exactly so your research task is to find a matching example with a label.

Try looking through bottles on eBay with a search like this: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=vintage+flavoring+bottle&_sacat=0&_pgn=1

It is old-fashioned detective work - dig, dig, dig and hope for a match!
