etched glass vase

I have a ₆" tall small vase. Glass is etched. There are no markings on the bottom. The vase has a base that appears to be brass, but it actually looks like it is spray painted brass. It really is pretty, but I always tend to think things are fakes to appear older than they are. Can you tell me anything about this vase?

did i put this question in the wrong category? it's my first posting so I'm not sure if I did everything correctly. I don't know anything about glass. I am fascinated by it, but have very little knowledge of it, other than what I read on the homepage of this site.

It is a 20th century thing; not sure it is particularly old. Am wondering if it was made with that base or that is something of a repair. Old time New England antiques that are broken and repaired are called a "make do"
