The American System- Pittsburgh- Aqua Blue Bottle

Going through bits of collectables from my fathers estate I came across one bottle that has The American System on one side with a picture of a steamboat. The other side has an eagle and shield with Pittsburgh at the bottom. The markings on the base look like a W or an M, hard to make out. My father was raised in Pittsburgh and acquired this bottle from his Great Uncle who was also from North Side Pittsburgh. It seems to be authentic. I've read other articles regarding The American System bottles and how rare they are.

Does this bottle carry any value?

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting the photos.

Am sorry to say this is a 20th century semi-reproduction. The original flasks (there are several mold variants) have a sheaf of wheat on the reverse with the words "USE ME BUT DO NOT ABUSE ME"

You will find something of a market for this bottle on sites like ebay.com - although many repro flasks do not sell for much...
