Brown Pint Bottle, Unopened!

I live in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake, VA and we tend to find a lot of old glass bottles. Today was a bit different because we found, what appeared to be, an unopened pint of "Something," I have included pictures of everything, including the liquid which has some floating stuff inside of it. If anyone has any insight, I'd like to hear. The symbol in the front is a horn that flows into a music note. The back has the "Federal Law....."

As for the contents, let's not assume it is the original whiskey... A cautious whiff of the contents can probably confirm that :-)

Here are two shots from a recent ebay auction. This bottle is also marked D-126 on the base but with the "Ball" insignia.

Chris, Thank you for the insight.

We can't get the top off of the bottle, its "welded" itself on. Any ideas?

I realize that this is not a "food grade" solution but one could apply some WD40 to the threads.

Applying some warm water and using a work glove or rag might help you to loosen it also..
