What are these?

We found about twenty brown jars in my parent's garage. The only markings are the dots on the bottom. They have a different amount of dots. They are about 4 inches tall. Does anyone have any idea what they are? Are they worth anything or should they just be discarded?

This is a classic snuff bottle of a certain era...see photo below of one with a label that recently sold on ebay.

You might find some interest for the group on ebay, but generally without the label, they are not worth too much.
