edited March 2017 in Question and Answer
We were cleansing out one of my family barns. It's has mounds of old stuff. I chose a few things to research and possibly sell. I have know idea where to start. Maybe someone could help. Please see the two bottles attached. Note they have not been cleaned.

  • Hi
    Thanks for posting.

You have a pair of very nice vintage (earlier 20th century) seltzer bottles - definitely collectible in light of the renewed interest in seltzer.

Values are all over the place depending on color, shape, markings. $30-60 or more is not uncommon.
  • It's really neat researching this stuff. I found another website that gave me some more info on the clear one. It is in scribed with the Jacob Metzger co, Indianapolis in Tafel Water. I guess that could was only around from 1896 to 1897. I live in Indy so pretty neat. The bottles came from my family farm in Southern Indiana though.
  • Should read brewery was on around...
