Trying to find out how old this is.

Looking to find out based on the looks, how old this bottle is. It's our family name but we have never heard of the company. Thank you!
There are two seams that appear to not be straight at the top. The bottom inside is thicker glass toward the back. There is no stamp of any kind on the bottom.

  • You can bracket the date of this bottle based on its crown top closure, and the mold seam.

The closure was patented in 1892

You bottle is blown in mold which predates machine manufacture. Machine made bottles came into wide use starting around 1910ish.

There were, at that time, thousands of local bottlers across the US so little specific is known about most of them. A trip to the Buffalo historical society and/or library might yield some further info on the business. One can search "City Directories" for the existence of a business. Newspapers and other local publications may have advertisements for the business.

    Hope this is helpful.
