I was tubing down whymouth river in nj. Found a brown bottle with federal law forbids sale or reuse of this bottle. Can you tell me about it?

I have associated the D-126 marking with the Seagrams company and also specifically with the Calvert Whiskey brand. Likely other brands were marked with this same distiller number.

It is likely that your bottle dates from the 1950s.
