Please ID this bottle

edited February 2015 in Question and Answer
I found this bottle laying out in the desert. I am not a bottle collector but it did look interesting to me. I am hoping that someone can ID it for me and tell me a little more about it.

Incase it's hard to read in the picutres, one one side it says "half pint" on the other side it says "federal law forbids sale or re-use of this bottle", on the bottlom starting from the top it has a "7" then below that "14-R-76" below that "85-46" then below that an "MG" with the M and G sharin g the same vertical line.

  • We do know it is a liquor bottle of some kind, whiskey, vodka, etc. and it probably dates from the 1950s or early 60s.

The MG mark on the base appears to be the mark of Maywood Glass Co of Compton, CA which became an Anchor Hocking plant in 1961

The R[ectifier]-76 mark gives a clue to the product if one can match the # to a bottle with a label....
